A short while ago, I commissioned my first piece of art for my fursona. It wound up being a fursona badge. Originally I wanted to get an icon (for Telegram, Discord, etc), but the artist’s workflow at that point in time was such that it made more sense to get the badge first.
First, a bit about me. I feel like I have a moderate degree of artistic talent. I’m not very good at drawing animals and anthropomorphic characters, though. In my mundane life, I have dabbled in art, mainly in digital form. One such piece involved taking photographs and tracing the outlines of buildings and trees. Any drawings of animals or humans I have attempted have a definite abstract flair to them, if I even get close enough to the original subject matter to be recognizable.
So that is why I commissioned KristKC for this badge, and likely future artwork as well. Someone in the local furry community recommended KristKC to me, as I was a bit nervous about selecting an artist out of the blue due to the number of scammers out there. Not only is KristKC a joy to work with, she has competitive prices and a great personality. As I write this, I have two additional commissions in her queue: a reference sheet and an icon, both of which should be done no later than the end of February.
